‘One of the best things about the beach trend is how versatile it is. Designs can be as detailed or subtle as you like. Take this towel manicure for example, created by Selena’s Gomez’s manicurist Tom Bachik.

‘Starfish nails are having a moment – and they’re too cute to ignore. Whether painted in soft, sandy tones or layered over clear bases with pearlescent accents, these tiny sea creatures bring a playful, under-the-sea vibe that feels really fresh. It’s giving ocean goddess, but make it subtle,’ says Kalina.

‘The Western wave is still going strong, with cowboy boots, fringing, and denim dominating both fashion and nails. Think micro art with a twist: little boots, stars, and horseshoes giving major Americana energy,’ says Kalnina.

Add a pop of colour to you cowgirl mani by having one nail turquoise.

Confetti nails, also known as ‘dot’ or ‘splatter’ nails, are a fun throwback trend that taps into the Y2K revival that has been popular in the beauty industry recently. The trend can range from micro-glitter and holographic flecks to multicoloured polka dots that resemble party confetti.

As we’ve seen with the peach nail trend, fruit-inspired manicures are a summer favourite. But this year, the spotlight is on playful fruit nail art, with designs featuring scattered mini fruit taking off in a big way.

‘Hot pinks and corals adds instant confidence to any look and looks just as good by the pool as it does with a cocktail in hand,’ reveals Kalnina.

A tangerine dream! A neon orange crème for when you want to totally chic nails, on tap. Let your nails say what you can’t, and shout ‘Cowabunga!’ all summer long with this totally seasonal shade.

‘This summer, the minimal girlies are going for tonal French tips and clever colour-blocked accents using not-so-obvious shades – like soft coral. It’s low effort but still feels considered,’ says Kalina.

Cat-eye effects and shimmering metallics are still holding their own. There’s something about that light-catching, velvet-y finish that just works for summer,’ says Kalnina.
