Lately, long acrylic manis seem to be everywhere. And it makes sense. Though short, minimalist nails deserve their moment in the sun, “Long nails provide the perfect canvas for detailed designs, which can appear crowded on shorter nails,” says Nailing Hollywood CEO Mazz Hanna. With that in mind, if you’re looking to turn your nails into a real work of art, it’s time to consider a long, strong, durable acrylic mani. To help you plan out your look, Hanna and celebrity nail artist Temeka Jackson shared their favorite winter acrylic nails. Take a peek, below.

Snow-Capped Silver Chrome French Tips
One word: Obsessed! For a bold, wintry acrylic nail look, start with a silver chrome base, then top it off with silver velvet ombre tips for a snow-capped effect.
Jewels and Crystals
Ready to go glam? “Jewels and crystals are perfect for January since they add a touch of winter sparkle to your nails,” Hanna says. “Long nails can support larger or more clustered embellishments like jewels and crystals without feeling overdone. The added space ensures that the design enhances the nail’s shape rather than overpowering it.”
3D Silver Chrome Nails
Metallic silver nails have been a popular pick throughout 2024 and there’s no sign of them slowing down in 2025. To make the stylish nail statement even more eye-catching, consider adding a raised design from cuticle to tip.
Blustery Bedazzled Aura French Tips
Aura nails are some of the easiest and most beautiful nails to recreate—especially on long acrylics. For this look, start with a sheer white base, then dab powder blue in the center of each nail. Next, create the metallic sparkle stars using silver chrome polish and glue on a few gems for good measure.
Cool Airbrushed Heart Nails
How fun are these ultra-long square acrylic tips? The powder blue airbrush hearts atop the deep burgundy French tips makes for a wintry, fresh-snow effect. That said, achieving such crisp hearts at home might be tricky, so book a manicure appointment to recreate this look.
Cool Cobalt Blue Nails
Cobalt blue is a popular nail color for winter and this ultra-fine shimmery version looks magical as can be. Whether you wear this hue from cuticle to tip or simply in a French fashion, you’re bound to turn heads and earn compliments on your nails.
French Nails with Icy Bling
“French nails will never go out of style, whether it be a V French, a deep smile French, or slant French,” Jackson says. This winter, she says to elevate your chosen acrylic French with all the sparkle. “People are dressing up their French with charms and bling,” she assures us, referencing this sharp, majestic French mani she created for Saweetie.
Frosty French Tips
Of course, you don’t need to layer your acrylic French manicure with charms for it to look gorgeous. Just look at this frosty French design. We love the combination of a sheer white base with bright white deep-smile arches.
Garnet Color Block
Powder blue, matte gold, cream, burgundy, and rose shimmer make for a cool and cozy (and even a little bit glam) winter acrylic color palette. You can DIY this nail look at home using a nail art brush or French manicure stencil stickers to section off your color-block design. Just be sure not to remove them until all polish is dry, otherwise you risk peeling.
Laced-Up Bow Acrylics
Bows continue to trend for winter 2024 and into 2025, especially in 3D iterations. Similarly, ballet-inspired fashion is having a moment, so this laced-up acrylic mani is a must for more than one reason. The best part? It’s fairly simple to DIY the design. Start with a sheer pinkish-nude base, then use a nail art brush to create a pale pink criss-cross design from cuticle to tip. Apply a layer of clear top coat, then glue a bow at the cuticle of each nail. Voila!
Matte Finishes with Glossy Tips
A dual-finish manicure looks great on acrylics and natural nails alike. “The subtle contrast of matte and glossy finishes is a modern and versatile option for winter,” Hanna says. “Pairing matte and glossy finishes with cool, moody tones like gray, navy, or deep plum adds a polished touch that works well with winter aesthetics.” Or, if you’re looking for the perfect Christmas nail look, try a palette of holly-jolly red and green.
Metallic Accents with 3D Charms
Hanna is also a fan of 3D charms on acrylic nails. “Metallic finishes paired with chains or studs adds a bold touch to winter nail designs,” she says. “This look works well on longer nails, where there’s room for the designs to flow.”
Milky Neutral Nails
A simple acrylic nail look you can never go wrong with, no matter the time of year? Milky neutral nails. They go with everything and look so chic in the process.
Ombre White French Tips
If you like the idea of milky neutral nails but want to make it a bit more wintry, consider opting for a white ombre French tip design. Then, for a blustery effect, use a nail art brush to add swipes of bright white across the tips at random.
Shimmering Glitter Star Nails
Doesn’t this shimmering glitter fade look magical? This manicure would be show stopping even without the 3D rhinestone stars.
Snowflake Nails
Let it snow! “It’s about embracing winter themes, and 3D snowflakes made with acrylic powder or rhinestones feel perfectly seasonal,” Hanna says. “Winter-inspired looks such as 3D snowflakes created with acrylic powder or rhinestones look proportional and intricate on longer nails.”
Sweet Chocolate Swirl Mani
More chocolatey inspo for you! This swirl design reminds us of hot chocolate and Willy Wonka. It’s sweet, cozy, neutral, and chic all at once.
