The 2024 BET Awards bills itself as the culture’s biggest night, and aside from a questionable tribute to Lifetime Achievement Award winner Usher, it was a night to remember.
While performances from Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Will Smith, Latto, Ice Spice, and more took up most of the show’s screentime, plenty of awards were handed out to the best of the year, including Tyla, Victoria Monét, Angel Reese, SZA, and more.
Before the start of the evening, Drake led nominations with seven, followed by Nicki Minaj’s six. J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, and Victoria Monét all tied with five nods each while 21 Savage, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Usher round out the top contenders with four noms each.
