RIVERSIDE, Iowa — The Iowa Music Awards is returning Sunday, October 29 at Riverside Casino.
The lineup of performances by Iowa artists will include Alisabeth Von Presley, Essence W. Dance, Sten Joddi, Sharane Calister, Toxic Blonde, Tevin Jones, and Tone Da Boss.
This year’s event kicks off with a pre-show in the Show Lounge of the casino, featuring free admission between 1-3 pm on Sunday.
Nominees are selected from all over Iowa by the academy, online by fans, and via submission on the Iowa Music Awards website January through August of each year.
Some of the nominees are Cedar Rapids the Pork Tornadoes for best cover band, z102.9’s The Morning Scramble Podcast by Dancin’ Eric Hanson and Claire, Entrè Luchè for best R&B artist in Des Moines, TheZeffsterr from Iowa City for best Hip Hop Artist, Traci Von Krypt from Cedar Falls for best female singer, and plenty more.
At 4pm Riverside Casino will be hosting The VIP / Nominee cocktail hour in the halls of the event center, synonymous with a red carpet walk, will see nominees and winners making their grand entrances.
