To get you started, we reached out to a few nail experts to highlight the most popular nail shades for NYE 2024. The verdict? Red polish, in all its variations, is a timeless choice for New Year’s Eve. “A classic red adds warmth and glamor to any NYE outfit,” Hanna explains. “You can never go wrong with a classic red nail to get you through the holidays.” For something a bit different, nailsaloon senior artist Marnae Orton suggests using cat-eye or chrome polish. “Swipe a cat-eye polish across all ten nails to let the mesmerizing shimmer shine, or pair it with a chic nude or glossy black, letting its sparkle pop on a single accent nail,” she says. “Or, for the ultimate statement shade for New Year’s Eve, opt for a vibrant, sparkly red with a luxurious metallic finish that demands attention.”
