Moonchild Sanelly has released the video for her latest track ‘Big Booty’.
The video, filmed in London last month, was directed by duo By The East, while the track itself is the second from Moonchild’s upcoming as-yet-unannounced new album.
The directors comments on the collaboration: “This was our first time collaborating with an international artist to create an elevated, avant-garde music video, focusing on synchronized dance routines that were infused with a fashion-forward edge. Our priority was to balance the artistic vision with a sense of fun, ensuring the video was both.”
Moonchild adds: “I’m so excited to share the video for Big Booty with the world. As a Xhosa girl I grew up twerking in traditional dance and being able to just twerk in the world is really amazing, let alone covered in glitter wearing couture… Coz everyone has freedom in them, whether already unleashed or yet to be.” She added, “The video is a celebration of the ownership of booty, and we shake our bodies through the entire video – this is what the song was written for – to celebrate that booty. Tune in and twerk with us!”
