Ratibad police arrested five accused for burglary in deserted houses and temples. The accused have been identified as Akram alias Shakeel resident of Kamla Nagar, Shoaib alias Rehan resident of Housing Board Colony, Zahid Khan resident of Pilu Khedi Rajgarh, Aamir Hira resident of Gandhi Nagar, Shahrukh Khan resident of Gandhi Nagar. Details stated that accused used to recce the area. Police have seized gold and silver jewellery, three vehicles, LED TV, along with cash all amounting to Rs 45 lakh. Along with carrying thievery in Ratibad, arrested accused burgled TT Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Bagsewaniya, Katara and Mandideep.
Cops stated the multiple cases were registered against the accused in Ratibad, Kolar, Kamla Nagar, Shahpura, Bagsewaniya, Chunabhatti, Gandhi Nagar.
To curb the theft cases in the city, Deputy Commissioner of Police Priyanka Shukla constituted four teams that were headed by Station Incharge Ratibad Ras Bihari Sharma, Sub-inspector O P Raghuvanshi, Sub-Inspector Gaurav Pandey and Sub Inspector Afsaar Khan to investigate into the cases.
The records read that cops during investigation scrutinised in the vicinity of 250 camera footages along with interrogating accused that were recently released from jail.
Acting on the tip-off, police from informers and evidences gathered during the investigation, team identified two accused and arrested them.
Furthermore, during interrogation the arrested accused revealed that a gang of five friends carried out thefts in the city. Additionally, records stated that vehicle used in the incident along with tools and stolen property have been recovered and the accused have been taken on police remand.
