Hot on the heels of her popular singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” Sabrina Carpenter recently released her highly anticipated album, “Short n’ Sweet”.
CND Co-Founder Jan Arnold shared some insight on Sabrina Carpenter inspired nail trends.
Happi: What are your top tips for creating “Espresso” nails?
JA: Milk nails and latte nails step aside… espresso nails are the next fall trend, thanks to Sabrina Carpenter. Espresso nails are all about deep, dark browns to play into the song of the summer but also reds, blues, and pinks as a nod to her album cover. Some of my favorite CND shades in brown are Fedora and Arrowhead – available in both CND Vinylux and CND Shellac.
This fall, we’ll also see variations of brown chrome, brown Frenches (micro and classic), or even experiment with different finishes like matte, pearl finishes and shimmer. Take your espresso nails up a notch with marble designs or milk swirls inspired by cold foam.
Happi: What type of nail trends channel the Sabrina Carpenter style?
JA: Some nail trends include pink chrome nails or coquette-inspired bow nail art. Shoppers should pick up my favorite pink CND shades such as Candied, Clearly Pink or Negligee. Happi: What nail colors best match the new album cover?
JA: Electric blue was one of our favorite trends this year and I love to see that it’s still going strong. Some blue CND shades that I love right now are Denim Patch, Vintage Blue Jeans and Blue Eyeshadow for a vibrant electric blue.
Happi: Sabrina uses a lot of hearts and kisses in her outfits, what types of nail designs do you recommend for this?
JA: Nail designs with inspiration from Sabrina Carpenter’s outfits with hearts and kisses can include a classic French with a heart design; a bold red nail, lipstick-stained kiss designs; pink and red aura nails; or negative space heart nails.
