Luxury brand Aspinal of London has launched its Black Friday sale, offering up to 50% off across its entire range. The high-end leather goods brand, popular among royalty, has reduced prices in anticipation of the festive shopping season.
The Mayfair Midi Bag from Aspinal, previously spotted on the arm of the Princess of Wales, is just one item in a collection of beautifully crafted handbags and accessories that I find quite appealing. Even for an average middle-aged mum like me, who isn’t exactly a glamorous princess, the exceptional craftsmanship is hard to ignore (especially during a sale).
For those who appreciate Kate’s understated elegance, the Mayfair Midi Bag is now £130 cheaper. Usually retailing for a hefty £650, the brand’s early Black Friday deal has brought the price down to £520 – a saving of 20%.
While I may not hold a Royal title or be on the A-list, I do have the pride and joy of owning not one but two Aspinal handbags. One is my everyday favourite, a little touch of luxury that makes me feel effortlessly chic, while the other is a generously sized, sunshine-ready statement piece perfect for warmer weather and trips away.

When the new year arrives and the prospect of spring is on the horizon, it will be time to reach for my second favourite Aspinal bag. My Large London Tote is oversized and utterly luxurious.
Made from butter-soft leather, it has a lovely, fluid quality that moves effortlessly while maintaining its relaxed, unstructured appeal. I chose the textured pebble finish in a rather delightful Ivory colour, with a contrasting navy blue lining, and this bag is my absolute favourite during the warmer months.
However, as a devoted fan of monochrome clothing, I believe it works just as well when it’s time to bring out the heavy coat. I am especially fond of its two stitched ‘A’ panels on the sides, highlighted by a contrasting tan colour that looks incredibly stylish with a camel coat or throwover.
Typically retailing at a hefty £695, the Black Friday sale sees this price drop to £556. With a saving of £139 off the RRP, that’s an impressive 20% discount.

The only downside I’ve found with my Aspinal bags is their weight – while they’re excellently crafted, they can feel quite heavy. If you’re not keen on feeling the weight of leather against your skin as you move, or the swing of the embellishments on the handles, these bags might seem a bit cumbersome and bulky to you.
