It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I love a neutral manicure. Not only do they look incredibly classy, but they are also extremely versatile, working well in any season or with any outfit you choose to wear. I’ve tried out a lot of neutral nail polishes at the salon over the years, but since discovering O.P.I’s ‘Bare My Soul’ (£16), I’ve never looked back. In fact, I loved it so much that I now use it myself at home between nail appointments.
‘Bare My Soul’ is a sheer pinky-nude shade that suits all skin tones. One coat gives you a sheer-healthy glow, but if you prefer a more pigmented nail colour, you can build it up for a pink-nude base. When I’m at the salon, I use it as a base coat for nail art and French tip designs but it also looks just as pretty on its own when I use it at home. It makes my nails look clean and put-together and due to its natural shade, doesn’t look obvious when my nails grow out.
If you love the ‘clean-girl’ nail look and haven’t yet tried O.P.I’s ‘Bare My Soul’, it’s definitely one I’d recommend you try out. Keep scrolling to see our editors try on Bare My Soul, shop the polish and then browse through other sheer nude nail polishes that we love at the moment.
Our Editors Review of O.P.I’s ‘Bare My Soul’ Nail Polish:
Copy editor, G Seago says, “I was surprised by how Bare My Soul looked on my nails because it’s much sheerer than it appears in the bottle, but I’ve inadvertently found the perfect true nude polish for my skin tone, and I love it. Two coats gives a “your nails but better” wash of milky, pinky nude that smoothes over any ridges or imperfections on the nail plate. Finished with a hard-wearing topcoat, I easily got a week of wear without any noticeable chips or peeling.”
Editorial assistant, Brittany Davy says, “Bare My Soul has been my go-to for a while now. I must admit I’m not the best at painting my own nails, so I love how elegant two coats of this shade looks. It makes my nails look put-together with minimal effort. Forever on trend, this neutral shade looks great on its own when I’m doing my own nails or as a base coat for art designs at the salon.”
