HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating a burglary that happened early Saturday morning at a luxury boutique in the River Oaks district.
A group of thieves broke into the Moreau Paris store around 4 a.m. and stole at least 28 handbags. A store employee says the bags are worth roughly $45,000.
They also left a big mess behind.
They smashed the shop’s glass to get into the store.
“I think they just got anything they could. It was very fast, I think it was like 20 seconds,” said Ana Aica, who works at Moreau Paris. “They just came inside and grabbed anything they could.”
Police say one of the four people is in custody.
