Every season, Rodarte casts fashion’s top models along with Hollywood’s rising stars in its newest look book. The spring 2024 linup, which debuted earlier this week, was no different: Actors Melissa Barrera, Chase Sui Wonders, and Alexandra Shipp all model the clothes. Another well-clad talent? Indigenous actor Cara Jade Myers, who stars in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon. “I was honored to be a part of Rodarte’s campaign,” Myers tells Vogue. “To be included alongside so many talented women was a career highlight for me.” In her portrait, Myers dons a sweet floral-print dress, complete with a pink cape. “I loved my look: The shape was beautiful and the colors were so bright and happy,” says Myers. “You can tell that [Rodarte designers] Kate and Laura [Mulleavy] put so much thought and love into every design.”
It’s not the only high-fashion moment Myers has enjoyed this week. The actor, who is Kiowa and Wichita, has been in town to attend shows such as 3.1 Phillip Lim and Ulla Johnson. “New York Fashion Week has been overwhelming in the best way possible,” says Myers. “Attending Fashion Week has always been a bucket-list item for me. I’m wearing beautiful clothes and sitting front row at designers I am a huge fan of. Plus I saw Wicked and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child [on Broadway]; both were so incredibly spectacular!” Myers’s favorite part of NYFW, however? It’s obviously been playing dress-up. “I love taking fashion risks on the red carpet,” she says. “I’m not afraid to try new silhouettes, patterns, or colors. I bleached my eyebrows one day before I left, because I knew Fashion Week would be a place where I could try something unexpected and risky.”
