Are Atlanta’s strip clubs still shaping the city’s hip-hop scene?

Willie Williams, a.k.a. DJ Will, arrived at Blue Flame Lounge on an early Wednesday afternoon in mid-October. He was there to play songs and create a live soundtrack for the dancing ladies working the day shift at the southwest Atlanta strip club.

Will’s decades-long career is a testament to his ability to make people dance by selecting and mixing great music. A native of Adamsville, he’s entertained crowds at many of the city’s most cherished hip-hop nightclubs, including Club 112 and Club 559.
