Amazon have knocked £45 off a winter coat in time for Black Friday. The coat was originally between £58.99 and £69.30, but now costs between £24.25 and £27.90 depending on size.
The Amazon Essentials Women’s Long-Sleeve Plush Peacoat comes in black, navy, camel, and grey. It’s available in sizes S to XXL, and falls to the hips.
The coat contains five per cent wool and has a collar that can be turned down or up for extra protection from the elements. The coat bears resemblance to Marks and Spencer’s wool blend relaxed coat.
Theirs costs £99, but contains 33 per cent wool and is slightly longer than Amazon’s. The M&S coat has a 3.9-star rating from 14 reviews, and comes in navy.
Both the Amazon and M&S coats can be paired with trousers and a top, and shoppers are currently loving an M&S jumper that comes in eight colours. You can read reviews of it here.

Amazon’s coat holds a 4.3-star rating from 1,098 reviews. One person said “Good value for money and warm jacket. Much better than ones I ordered from high street stores. Nice length as I am short so not overpowering like some of those long coats out there. Would buy again.”
Another person wrote “The material is shockingly good for the price. I was genuinely surprised that it doesn’t have that cheap, shiny look to it like some cheaper coats have.
“It’s also really nicely made and finished with nice details.” Of the negative comments, one person said “It is enormous with extra long sleeves and just horrible. Not used it and won’t be using it!”
