The Caribbean will be represented on this year’s edition of the hit US television show Big Brother.
Dominican self-described “baddie with brains”, Kirsten Elwin, was one of the 17 new houseguests that entered the Big Brother House during last night’s live show.
The 25-year-old is a Molecular Biologist and swimwear designer.
Elwin, who has done extensive research on cancer, said she plans to convince her competitors that she’s “just a pretty face”.
In her introduction video, Elwin said that she’s adaptable and will fit into any environment on her way to winning the grand prize of US$750,000.
Elwin added that she’s a “girls, girl” and is hoping to form a female alliance that will successfully navigate the game to be the last two houseguests standing when the final takes place November 9, 2023.
Elwin did not begin the competition as she would have hoped finishing last in her competition and was placed on the nomination block for elimination alongside cast mates Jared Fields, Felicia Cannon and Cory Wurtenberger.
The four along with three others will be back in action to compete in the veto competition for a chance to take themselves off the chopping block.
That episode airs on CBS August 6 and the live eviction episode takes place on August 10th.
Big Brother is celebrating its 25th season and this season will be the longest in the show’s history.
