Private club coming to Costa Mesa’s theater district

The members-only Park Club California is opening in December in Costa Mesa.

The club in Center Tower’s Garden Level will be steps away from Segerstrom Center for the Arts, South Coast Repertory, Orange County Museum of Art and South Coast Plaza.

“We wanted The Park Club’s design to embody the vibrancy of the local art scene and were inspired by its neighboring creative institutions, including the recently opened Orange County Museum of Art,” said Adam Goldstein, partner and design director of Studio Collective, which designed the club.

The club will feature the Monet Restaurant serving coastal California cuisine. The restaurant also has a bar and performance space for live entertainment during dining service.

Patrons also can use various event spaces including the Eucalyptus Ballroom, Oak Room, Laguna and Newport Meeting Rooms, Water Lily Private Dining and Game Room.

Dining will be offered from breakfast through dinner.

The members-only club offered no hint as to pricing. It’s part of the BNG Hospitality network of 70 clubs that also includes access to private golf and country clubs.

Jim Shumate is the club’s general manager and Lisa Schripsema is its director of membership. Contact Schripsema at 949.868.6486 or email her at lisa.schripsema@parkclubca.com.
