Hot 100: Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Cobra’ is the Week’s Top-Selling Rap Song & Overall Highest Debut Among Women

Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘Cobra‘ is sinking its teeth into the Hot 100 in a big way.

Peruse of the updated Hot 100 sees Megan Thee Stallion printed at #32 with her controversial new hit ‘Cobra.’ Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

  • Streaming ≈ 11.8 million U.S.-based streams
  • Sales ≈ 5,500 digital downloads
  • Radio airplay ≈ 800 audience impressions

The #32 entry not only marks her 16th overall top 40 smash but also shines as the highest-charting solo hit she’s had since ‘Plan B‘ peaked at #29 on the hitlist.

Faring even better on the Urban side of Billboard, ‘Cobra’ slithered to #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales lists respectively.

Thanks to its commercial performance on those tallies, the Bankroll Got It-produced song entered the all-genre chart as the highest debut among all female-led songs.  The only new songs to premiere higher were Jung Kook‘s ‘Standing Next To You’ (#5) and ‘Now and Then’ by The Beatles (#7).
