Fitness model does squats in booty-boosting leggings – but fans spot ‘problem’

A curvy model has been slammed by fans over a video of her in bum-boosting leggings – as some believe she’s had Brazilian Butt Lift surgery.

Mbali Flowers has gained more than 360,000 likes on social media for sharing her stunning modelling snaps and fitness videos. However, the influencer, from LA, recently left fans divided with one of her gym fashion campaigns.

In the clip, which was shared by gymwear brand Licifit, the model was seen working out with free weights while donning an animal print sports bra and matching leggings. The bottoms have scrunch in the bum to boost the shape of the model’s curves.

She was even seen doing squats to show the implied benefit of the product. But fans have started to speculate whether or not she has had plastic surgery.

Mbali Flowers sparked speculation online over whether gym brands should use models with butt lifts to promote products

“Did you get your workout in today? @m_barlee is wearing the Cheetah High Waist Scrunch Leggings and Classic One Shoulder Bra,” the brand said in the caption of the Instagram video, which has gained more than 3,000 likes.

But the brand found itself to be the topic of debate among it’s customers – as they urged them to use models who “haven’t had surgery” to prove the bum enhancing feature of the leggings truly works.

One user said: “I got my workout in, daily actually. Just won’t go to the surgeon for the results like these influencers. Pick better people to represent a brand..”

Another quipped: “Do the leggings come with the a**?” A third commented: “Lmaoo after a BBL everyone is a fitness influencer.”

However, other users defended the Mbali – as they state she may not have had any surgery. And even if she has, she’s still beautiful.

A user penned: “Sad how all the negative comments comes from women, smh instead of up lifting you ladies always down shaming…the hate is real….you look goodddd I love the leggings I even bought them just because of how good it looks on you.”

Meanwhile, a second wrote: “Tired of women in the comments, policing other women’s bodies… it’s ridiculous.”

It has not been confirmed whether the model has had the surgical proceedure. Mbali and Licifit have been contacted by the Daily Star for a comment regarding the debate.
