👜Central Florida bingo event awards designer bags, supports charities

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – “BINGO!”

That’s what you’ll hear during the Bingo for Handbags event held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Hilton Altamonte Springs, located at 350 S. Northlake Boulevard in Altamonte Springs.

The event is a popular fundraiser for the Orlando chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, raising money for service organizations and charities including Z.E.T.A. Foundation scholarships, Embrace Families CBC supporting foster families and the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community supporting community programs in historic Eatonville. The event attracting hundreds of community members, including die-hard Bingo players and amateurs alike.

Attendees for Bingo for Handbags will not only be giving back to the communities they live in, but will also have the opportunity to receive one of more than a dozen designer handbags and gifts.

Tickets to the event cost $65 and come with a set of bingo cards, a paint dabber and raffle tickets. There will be ten rounds of bingo, with additional bonus rounds and raffles. Winners of each round will receive the designer bag that goes with that round. There are more than a dozen purses, clutches and weekender bags including Coach, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Kate Spade ranging in value from $250 to about $2,000.

Attendees can use as many bingo cards as they’d like for each round and have the opportunity to purchase more for more chances to win.

In its seventh year, Bingo for Handbags has a unique theme: ‘80s versus ‘90s Edition. So, attendees are encouraged to dress up in the attire representing their favorite decade.

The event will have a DJ playing music throughout the day, there will be a desert bar, drinks and vendors on site. News 6 morning anchor Crystal Moyer will be hosting the event.
