Oklahoma quarterback General Booty enters NCAA transfer portal

Oklahoma Spring Game Reaction

Oklahoma quarterback General Booty has entered the NCAA transfer portal according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Booty departs from the Oklahoma after spending the past two years with the Sooners as a backup quarterback. Exiting from Norman following the conclusion of spring practices on April 20 in the team’s spring game where he rushed for a 32-yard touchdown to start the second half.

In each of his two seasons with the program Booty has made one game appearance, appearing under center for Oklahoma against TCU in 2022 and in the 2023 season opener against Arkansas State. Recording zero statistics in both matchups.

Booty started off his college career at Tyler Junior College in Texas where in 2021 he started in 12 games and completed 266 passes for 3,410 yards and 27 touchdowns. Which all led the NJCAA as he also rushed for 250 yards and two scores to help lead the Apaches to a 7-5 season and win in the TIPS-CHAMPS Heart of Texas Bowl before transferring to Oklahoma.
