Dallas handbag designer Deseri Kelley is clutching something new today: a physical—albeit temporary—store of her own in one of the city’s most fashionable shopping destinations.
After building her brand through online sales—and having her leather handbags toted about by celebrities including Lala Anthony, Gabrielle Union, Tina Knowles, Jessica Alba, Sophia Vergara, Christina Aguilera, and Winnie Harlow—Kelley is opening a pop-up DESERI store today inside the Galleria Dallas mall at LBJ Freeway and the North Dallas Tollway.
Offering handbags that are “luxurious yet accessible” with prices starting at $375, DESERI’s curated selection of leather handbags aim to “blend timeless elegance with modern sophistication.”

Kelley’s leather handbags are handmade in Spain
Each piece in Kelley’s collection is “meticulously crafted from carefully selected leathers and handmade in Spain,” reflecting “a commitment to quality and attainability that is synonymous with luxury.”
“Building upon the success of serving customers through the online DESERI platform, we’ve identified a remarkable opportunity to extend the DESERI experience to our customers.” Founder Deseri Kelley said in a statement about her three-month Galleria pop-up. “We’re thrilled to bring DESERI’s offerings to the Dallas community, especially in a shopping destination as premier as Galleria Dallas.”
Inspired at age 9 by her first designer purse
According to the DESERI website, Kelley was first attracted to the world of designer handbags at age 9, when she got a designer purse as a gift. After a career in education (according to the Dallas Morning News, the North Garland High School and UT Dallas graduate is a former teacher at Mesquite ISD and also taught while living in Spain) Kelley began pursuing her dream of creating her own premium line of signature handbags by launching DESERI in 2020.
Her time spent living in Paris helped inspire the Paris in Pink, which “provides a pop of color to the bold and vibrant dresser,” while the signature DESERI’s structured silhouette “offers a timeless look with just enough edge to fill wearers with unshakeable confidence.”
WIth her pop-up, Kelley promises to “immerse” her guests in the DESERI experience like never before, by offering exclusive limited-edition collections and “personalized V.I.P. shopping experiences.”
Up next? Kelley aims to evolve her brand beyond handbags, envisioning “an expanded accessory and clothing line.”
“The brand’s future is paved with practicality, striking modernity, and a commitment to upholding exceptional standards of quality, all while remaining accessible to women everywhere, and inspiring them to step into their confidence and celebrate their individuality,” the DESERI website says.
The DESERI storefront is located on level 1 between the Westin Galleria and North Italia entrances in Galleria Dallas, alongside other large luxury retailers. The pop-up is open to shoppers Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
