Inspired at age 9 by her first designer purse

According to the DESERI website, Kelley was first attracted to the world of designer handbags at age 9, when she got a designer purse as a gift. After a career in education (according to the Dallas Morning News, the North Garland High School and UT Dallas graduate is a former teacher at Mesquite ISD and also taught while living in Spain) Kelley began pursuing her dream of creating her own premium line of signature handbags by launching DESERI in 2020.

Her time spent living in Paris helped inspire the Paris in Pink, which “provides a pop of color to the bold and vibrant dresser,” while the signature DESERI’s structured silhouette “offers a timeless look with just enough edge to fill wearers with unshakeable confidence.”

WIth her pop-up, Kelley promises to “immerse” her guests in the DESERI experience like never before, by offering exclusive limited-edition collections and “personalized V.I.P. shopping experiences.”

“The brand’s future is paved with practicality, striking modernity, and a commitment to upholding exceptional standards of quality, all while remaining accessible to women everywhere, and inspiring them to step into their confidence and celebrate their individuality,” the DESERI website says.

The DESERI storefront is located on level 1 between the Westin Galleria and North Italia entrances in Galleria Dallas, alongside other large luxury retailers. The pop-up is open to shoppers Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
