Over $300,000 worth of designer handbags, jewelry stolen from Cape May shop

CAPE MAY — Over $300,000 of designer handbags and jewelry was stolen from the Queen May luxury shop Sunday, said the business.

The incident happened at 2:59 a.m. Sunday, where the group of suspected burglars entered the store by breaking the door window at 325 Washington Street.

Some of the items the store burglars took were a variety of vintage Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. One in particular was a rare Louis Vuitton truck bag with the name Jenny Hecht on the side.

Queen May said every bag was serialized and is in a database. 

“We are looking to the power of socialmedia to catch these criminals,” said Queen May on it’s Instagram page. “If you have any information or leads about this burglary please contact us.
