Porch Pirates Pick Up Thousands Of Pounds Of Booty From Peterborough Neighbourhoods

Porch Pirates came away with a lot of booty on Saturday for Kawartha Food Share, thanks to a great outpouring of support from community members.

Once again, the Porch Pirates scoured door steps of the Peterborough community looking for food donations for Kawartha Food Share.

General Manager Ashlee Aitken says the event brought in more than 20,000 pounds of food.

Aitken says a food drive like this wouldn’t be successful if it wasn’t for the generosity of the community with their time and money

She says that this will help fill a need as we enter the summer months, which historically is a slower time of year for food donations
