Konnan claims it’s hard to work with Tony Khan and AEW

WCW veteran Konnan has worked several times with Tony Khan in recent years due to the partnership between AAA Worldwide and All Elite Wrestling. However, All Elite Wrestling often pulls out their talents at the last minute from AAA shows and this has not sat well with Konnan.

Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan claimed that they don’t need All Elite Wrestling as the promotion is too expensive. The veteran further noted the developing relationship between CMLL and All Elite Wrestling.

“We’ve been selling out everywhere. We don’t even need AEW, and they’re expensive and it’s hard to deal with them because they pull ’em out at the last minute. I see they haven’t had that problem with Arena Mexico. Whether he’s trying to stick it up…because I don’t put over his thing or he’s just having a good business relationship and it’s easier to work with them, I have no idea,” Konnan said. All Elite Wrestling has worked with many wrestling promotions like TNA/IMPACT, AAA, CMLL, NJPW, and more. It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan ever works with the WWE in the future.
