Amal Clooney is a seriously impressive woman. She’s a lawyer who specializes in international law and human rights and an adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School. And that’s just the start. So it feels a little silly to be talking about Clooney’s hair. But then again, you can look gorgeous and still be doing important work. Women are multifaceted.
Clooney stepped out in NYC late last week for a benefit hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice, an organization she and her husband George Clooney started. Mrs. Clooney wore a white Versace gown with her iconic brunette hair cascading down around her shoulders. That’s when we noticed something looked different. Her hair now has the prettiest chocolate brown highlights that brighten up her entire face. Colorist Dimitris Giannetos is responsible for Clooney’s new color, which he calls “Nutella highlights.”
“I wanted Amal to look very powerful and energetic by keeping her hair very effortless looking, tousled and modern,” Giannetos wrote on Instagram. To get her shiny, healthy hair, he applied Nutrafol Scalp Essence ($56.05 at Amazon
) onto her scalp while her hair was still wet. “It really helps soothe a dry scalp after the use of daily products and styling,” he said.
He then used a round brush to “give some movement to the hair” and finished with Nutrafol Hair Serum ($65.55 at Amazon
) to “support visible hair thickness and strength.” Finally, he used a 1 and 1/2-inch curling iron in different directions for effortless waves.
Drooling over her makeup? Us, too. It’s all Charlotte Tilbury, the makeup artist and the products. The brand was even one of the big sponsors of the night because Tilbury is passionate about the cause.
Tilbury used her brand’s favorites on Clooney glam, as well as some new products. These include OG faves Beautiful Skin Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation ($49 at Sephora) and Hollywood Flawless Filter ($49 at Sephora), plus the new Hollywood Blush & Glow Glide Palette ($29 at Charlotte Tilbury). We can’t wait to get our hands on it.
