American Vintage, a French fashion brand that sells T-shirts for €50, is to open its first standalone store in Dublin. The company has taken a lease of 32 and 34 Exchequer Street, close to the shopping strip of Grafton Street.
The brand, which sells a wide-range of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, is already sold in Arnotts and Brown Thomas, and has an outlet in Kildare Village. A planning application to Dublin city council last week sought permission to add the American Vintage branding to the front of the store.
The company was set up by French designer Michael Azoulay in Marseille in 2005. Its designs have been worn by celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Penelope Cruz. It began an expansion drive in 2017,
