New Delhi: Delhi Police‘s Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested Honey Rawat, an alleged henchman of the Prince Tewatia gang
DCP (crime branch) Sanjay Kumar Sain said that on Sept 16, a video went viral on social media that showed an individual yelling obscene remarks and recklessly firing more than six rounds at a house. An probe was initiated, and the person in the video was identified as Honey Rawat, alias Badi Aankh, an active member of a notorious gang.
A team from the anti-extortion and kidnapping cell, Crime Branch, led by Inspector Priyanka and supervised by ACP Sushil Kumar, analysed CCTV footage and used manual intelligence to track down Rawat. He revealed his a rivalry with gangster, Ishallah, alias Sultan, who had allegedly beaten him and threatened his life, which prompted Rawat to commit the crime.
Police seized a pistol and two live cartridges from Rawat, which were used in the incident. tnn
