Ayo Edebiri’s Funky Mismatched Nail Art Makes Me So Excited for Summer

Key Takeaways

  • Ayo Edebiri wore a colorful, abstract manicure to announce Season 4 of The Bear.

  • Her bright nails featured 3D textures and all of summer’s best shades, including hot pink, pool day blue, and a grassy green.

Have you ever seen the meme that’s like, alongside emojis of a bunch of different foods? You get to pick one of them to explore, one to eat, and one to sleep on… if you were tiny.

There’s some hole-y cheese (great for exploring), a salad (variety for your lunch), and a loaf of bread (a soft place to sleep) in the lineup if you want to make your answer simple. But you really could go so many ways—it’s tough to choose an ideal adventure.

That’s how I feel about Ayo Edebiri‘s latest manicure. Each one of her nails is so different and so gorgeous, and if I was tiny I’d give up food and sleep to explore them all up close.

The Bear star first showed off the manicure at the 2025 Disney Upfront event in New York on May 13. She and her costars Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach took the stage to announce Season 4 of their restaurant world drama, and though it was hard to look away from the trio and their charming rapport, my eyes were fixed on her hands around the mic.

Though the art decorating each of her short fingernails was abstract, there was a common theme among the decor: sweet, sweet summertime. Swirling shades of hot pink, pool day blue, and grassy green took over certain nails, while others got the 3D nail art treatment with glittering gems and shards of color that looked like they were sourced from a crystal shop. Even her white-painted pinky finger got a little extra something: a dot of hot pink nail polish right in the center.

Ayo Edebiri’s White Dress

For the event, stylist Danielle Goldberg dressed Edebiri in a white textured satin Hodakova dress. The minimalist Swedish design paired perfectly with her funky nails; I’m sure Stockholm’s cool girls would go nuts for the entire look.

If I had to choose one nail to explore as someone one-quarter inch tall, I think I’d pick the right ring finger—there’s so much variety there. I’d sleep on her dress, the material looks nice. And I’d eat… a sandwich from The Bear, obviously. Who could turn down a classic Italian Beef? Plus, leftovers.
