LIMA, OH (WLIO) – A networking event on Saturday helped local women collaborate with their fellow entrepreneurs and learn what it takes to grow or start a business.
The first annual Baddies in Business Brunch gave Lima area businesswomen an afternoon full of expert guest speakers, informational pamphlets, and the opportunity to get their business cards in the hands of future customers or partners. The event also had materials to create vision boards and a photographer taking professional headshots. For many, establishing those connections with like-minded people can make the difference in turning a side hustle into a full-time business.
“I hope they inspire each other just by their conversations or bounce ideas off of each other, and I hope they all eventually work together,” said Megan Horton of Mega Pop-Up, who organized the networking event. “I think the value of it, especially in Lima, since we’re so small, we don’t have to go to Amazon, we don’t have to go to Wal-Mart when we have people in our own community that have services and supplies and things of our own.”
Organizers are planning to make the Baddies in Business an annual event.
