The 8th edition of the La Belle Hip Hop festival will take place from May 21 to 24, 2024, in the Belgian capital, Brussels. It offers a celebration of female talent in hip hop.
Under the passionate direction of Fatima Elajmi, this annual event, born in 2017, has established itself as a national and then international leader, bringing together female artists from over eight countries to share their art and experience in the world of Hip Hop.
More than just an artistic event, La Belle Hip Hop is a committed movement that aims to raise awareness of women’s rights and combat all forms of violence against them. Through a rich program of workshops, conferences, and artistic performances (concerts, battles), the festival is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and gender, while celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop culture and 60 years of Moroccan immigration to Belgium.
For this year’s event, Belle Hip-Hop has invited the most representative Moroccan female rapper of this generation, known for their assertive lyrics.
The organization has also partnered with the Ali Zaoua Foundation as part of a project financed by the Wallonia-Brussels cooperation with Morocco.
The 8th edition of the festival will feature Shadia Mansour (Palestine), Anne-Gabrielle Toner (Belgium), Sabrine (Belgium), Ayben (Turkey), Khtek (Morocco), Nejma Nefertiti (New York), Amirah (Chicago), Mona Haydar (Detroit), Siham (Belgium), Masiaone (Singapore), and Cage (Belgium).
