Beyoncé has appeared to hit back at the criticism she received for wearing an outfit that led to some people comparing her to Kim Kardashian and even calling her “white.”
At the premiere for her Renaissance concert film in Los Angeles last weekend, Queen Bey stepped out in a long blonde hair and shimmering dress, with many people noting that her complexion appeared lighter than it had done previously.

The Grammy-winner now appears to have responded to her critics in an Instagram post which features several pictures of the singer dressed all in white alongside her husband JAY-Z.
While her post, which was uploaded on Wednesday (November 29), didn’t feature a caption or explanation, many of her followers were quick to connect the apparent dots.
“One thing about it my girl she never responds to the haters directly but it’s ALWAYS going to be a way she clears without saying a WORD! #BrownSkinGirl,” one person wrote.
“Bey put on white, winter white and beige and said yep I’m definitely Black. My good sis is hilarious,” another commented, while someone else said: “Her wearing all white was NOT a coincidence [crying face emojis] Beyonce is mad funny, bruh.”

Others remarked on one shot which zooms in on Beyoncé’s face, with one writing: “And gave y’all the zoom in so you can’t play with her complexion!”
Additional comments included: “Sis said ‘Look at the melanin, haters’!!!!” and: “This is how you shut the haters up.”
Under photos of Beyoncé at her Renaissance concert film premiere posted by Vogue, numerous people made negative remarks about her appearance.
One said: “There’s no way this isn’t a Kardashian omg,” which was echoed by another who remarked: “Oh no even Bey wants to be a Kardashian now…. The world is upside down.”

Another commented: “What in the Michael Jackson had happened to Beyoncé.”
The chatter was loud enough to prompt Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles to defend her superstar daughter in a lengthy Instagram post.

“Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white,” she wrote.
“She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin?”
Knowles added: “I am sick and tired of people attacking her. Every time she does something that she works her ass off for and is a statement of her work ethic, talent and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork.”
Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is set to have its global premiere on Friday (December 1).
The movie’s final pre-release trailer opens with Bey’s six-year-old daughter Rumi Carter recording her mother and her grandfather Matthew Knowles backstage using a phone, before she is advised to hold it in a landscape angle rather than portrait.
