Rashia “Rah Digga” Fisher recently tied the knot and she did it in the most memorable way.
While on the 2023 “Rock The Bells Cruise: A Hip-Hop Experience,” the former Flipmode Squad rapper said “I do” to her partner Troy Weeks in front of a small audience with Antonio “Big Daddy Kane” Hardy serving as the officiant.
Dressed in a black and white ensemble complete with a bowtie, Hardy said, “Because true love will never be found where it does not exist, but it can’t be denied where it does.”
“So with that, if we can go into prayer. Troy, Rashia, I want you to say that you love and respect one another through the good and the bad.”
The officiant shared a snippet of his speech on Instagram, captioning the photo, “I gave a speech like a Reverend.”
Per OkayPlayer, LL Cool J‘s Rock The Bells platform celebrated the 50th anniversary of hip-hop during this year’s cruise. It featured a number of MCs and DJs, including Big Boi, Slick Rick, Too Short, Bun B, MC Lyte, Pete Rock and DJ Quik.
The cruise began with a performance from Miami rap veterans Trick Daddy and Trina on the ship’s pool deck. Attendees were able to enjoy a series of activities, including interactive graffiti, live podcasts, roller skating, open mic nights and pool deck parties with Kid Capri as the resident DJ. Roxanne Shanté and Torae served as hosts.
Rah Digga was referred to as “one of rap’s most prominent female MCs” by Allmusic and deemed “one of Hip-Hop’s most skilled female MCs” in the book “How to Rap.” Renowned for her long-standing membership with the Flipmode Squad, the Newark native departed amicably from the group in 2007 and has since maintained a solo career.
