As the country is caught up in the election euphoria, campaigning too is getting innovative. Rajkot-based nail artist Jasmine Raval calls her innovative nail art, wherein she creates party symbols of client’s choosing, a tool to encourage people to participate in the upcoming polls and exercise their right to vote.

Talking with Mirror, Jasmin said: “Rather than a business opportunity, this is more of an effort to encourage citizens to vote and create awareness about the biggest festival of democracy. The unique nail art designs let people make a style statement with the design of their political party, their symbol or simply a message for everyone to vote.”

This nail art requires about one or one-and-half hours. However, if you are short of time, false nails are also available that can be glued to the nails. The cost of getting this nail art done costs anywhere between Rs. 1000-5000, and it stays for 12-15 days on your nails, Jasmin says, adding that she doesn’t favour any particular political party as she has designs for all major parties.

Enthusiasts have already started taking appointments to get this unique nail art done. Thus far, only women have lined up to get this nail art done before political rallies.

Though men are not the usual clients of nail art, Jasmin is positive that this particular nail art would draw males as well.

In fact, Jasmin came up with a similar idea during the Ram Mandir opening at Ayodhya recently. The idea evoked overwhelming response.
