BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s New Pixel Art Manicure Is Both Fun and Futuristic

From glazed donut nails to blush nails, nail art has taken over our FYPs and salons. Well, BLACKPINK‘s Rosé might have just found the next big nail art trend, and it’s kind of genius.

To wish her fans a happy Chuseok, the K-pop idol posted a collection of selfies to her personal Instagram page. In the snaps, she wore a bandana-tied babushka style over her braided pigtails and under her hoodie. She had her signature winged eyeliner and a glossy nude lip, but the most eye-catching part of her glam this time was her new nail art.

Earlier this month, Rosé wore a floral white accent nail, a surprising twist as many reached for typical fall colors like burgundy and auburn to prepare for the new season. Now, she’s back with another similar style but showing off a more futuristic design that’s pretty innovative and fun.

In her photos, she’s propping her phone up with her pointer finger, and her nail is covered in a shiny sheer base coat. The tip of her nail, however, was decorated with small little white squares that looked like pixels.

Unfortunately, only one nail was visible in the picture Rosé posted, so it’s not clear whether she got this pixelated nail art as an accent to a simple manicure or if she went for a full set and the squares were part of a bigger design. Either way, we know we’re saving this pic to use as inspo for our next trip to the salon or our DIY stations. Though the technique is simple and straightforward, the look is ultra cool and trendy, making it a pretty easy and affordable design option.

If you’re in the market for a new look, you’re in luck. As expected, when it comes to BLACKPINK, we’re never short of style inspo, whether it’s nails, accessories, outfits, or early festivities.
