Blake Lively’s “studded leather” nails are autumn perfection

There is some excellent autumn nail trend inspiration at your fingertips (pun intended) right now, courtesy of a number of A-listers. Earlier this week, Lily James was delivering on the “vino red” front, and now it’s Blake Lively’s turn.

Making an appearance at the Michael Kors spring/summer 2024 show on Monday, Blake Lively rocked up with bounteous curls and a latte make-up look. But it was her nails that really caught our attention. Painted a terracotta colour, the outer edges of her nails were embellished with small, gold studs.

Creating the illusion of studded leather, the effect is a chic way to experiment with nail art on an otherwise simple block colour. The terracotta shade is a fresh take on the autumnal palette, but still looks entirely appropriate for this season. Manicurist Elle Gerstein used Pla Nails’s polish in Howl You Doin’, calling the look a “modern nod to a ’70s glam vibe”.
