Police crack case of bizman’s home burglary, reveal suspects went to Dharmasthala after deed

Three men have been arrested in connection with a theft of gold, diamond jewellery, silver items, and watches, totaling Rs 1.09 crore. The incident occurred at a house on Maruti Extension 3rd Main Road within the jurisdiction of the Subramanya Nagar Police Station. The complainant, a businessman, had gone to Mantralaya on September 21 and discovered the burglary upon his return on September 22.

The police recovered stolen items, including over one kilogram of gold and diamond jewellery, 110 grams of silver ornaments, eight watches, and Rs 18,000 in cash.

After the crime, the suspects, Nandish GM and Nandish HM, who are brothers-in-law, along with their accomplice Pratapa Kumar, are said to have traveled to Dharmasthala for redemption. They then returned and were holed up in Huliyaru.

The trio had gained entry into the house by breaking the grill of a first-floor window, making off with valuables worth Rs 1.09 crore.

In a similar case, two men were arrested by the Bagalur Police for stealing gold jewellry from houses, with 437.25 grams of gold and 85 grams of silver items, worth Rs 31.09 lakh, recovered.

The theft was reported on March 26 by a resident of Chokkanahalli village, after the complainant returned from a trip to Kerala and found their home had been broken into.

Following the investigation, police arrested the suspects on September 19 from Atiyuru bus stand in Tamil Nadu. Upon interrogation, the accused admitted to the theft and revealed they had stolen gold jewellry from various houses in Bengaluru. The main accused in this case has a total of 10 theft cases registered against him—three in Bengaluru and seven in Tamil Nadu.

Guard steals `10.95 lakh, buys car, jewellery
A security guard employed at an audit office in Jayanagar 2nd Block was arrested for stealing cash, gold jewellry, and other valuables.

The Chartered Accountant (CA) of the audit office filed a complaint at Siddapura Police Station on September 22, reporting the theft of Rs10.95 lakh. The guard allegedly used his knowledge of his boss’s movements to commit the crime on September 20.

Following investigation, the Siddapur police apprehended the accused Narayanaswamy, 34, near a tea joint on Outer Ring Road, Kasthurinagar, on September 26. During interrogation, the accused confessed to using the stolen cash to purchase a car, gold jewellery, a wristwatch, and a mobile phone. According to sources, the accused was working in the audit office for one year.

A total of Rs 3.50 lakh in cash was recovered from the car, along with the other stolen items, amounting to a total value of Rs 5.84 lakh.

Stolen bikes worth Rs 12.7 lakh recovered
The Parappana Agrahara police have arrested a delivery executive and his accomplice, a security guard, recovering 13 stolen two-wheelers valued at Rs 12.7 lakh. The suspects, identified as Shabaz Khan and Om, were apprehended as they were acting suspiciously on a motorcycle near Rayasandra Lake.

During a thorough investigation, both men confessed to stealing a bike that had been parked in front of a residence. The police recovered four stolen motorcycles, along with two additional bikes.

The duo would scout residential areas for parked bikes, stealing them and selling the stolen vehicles at throwaway prices. Unsold bikes were hidden in isolated locations. With these arrests, 10 cases have been solved across the city.
