Clothes, jewellery, toys and baked goods will be among the items on offer from island vendors at two Harbourside Market events.

The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute said the products can make “perfect gifts for the holiday season”.

Two festive films will also be shown at the markets, which will run on November 25 and December 9 from 10am until 4pm.

A statement from BUEI said: “This free event will feature a wide range of unique products for purchase, from 40 local vendors on each of BUEI’s three levels.

“Items for sale include women’s clothing, jewellery, herbal tea blends, luxury handbags, candles, aromatherapy oils and diffusers, Bermuda cedar goods, children’s books and toys, home decor, baked goods, and so much more.

“There will also be a selection of food vendors operating throughout the markets.”

The two complimentary film screenings will be held in the wheelchair-accessible Tradewinds Auditorium.

The first, to start at 11am, is the 2018 film Christmas Chronicles.

BUEI said: “This family-friendly film tells the story of two siblings, Kate and Teddy Pierce, who hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

“When the plan goes awry, the kids join forces with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save the holiday before it’s too late.

“The second film, scheduled for 2pm, is the 2011 animated comedy Arthur Christmas.

“This adventure follows Santa’s clumsy son Arthur on a mission with Grandsanta to give out a present they misplaced to a young girl in less than two hours.”

Shoppers will also receive a Christmas musical preview of this year’s pantomime, Cinderella, by the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society.

Admission and parking for the markets are free. BUEI’s exhibits will not be open during the events.
