Carrie Underwood isn’t sweating a recent wardrobe malfunction. During the penultimate performance of her Las Vegas residency on April 11, Underwood suffered through an awkward moment.
The incident occurred when Underwood was singing “Denim & Rhinestones.” Underwood appeared to not be fully committed to her dance, as she tried to cover an apparent hole in her shorts.
One audience member shared a video of the moment on TikTok, praising Underwood for how she “handled this so well that you hardly notice.”
Carrie Underwood Reacts to Her Wardrobe Malfunction
Later on in the show, Underwood paused her performance of “Cry Pretty” to discuss what went down.
“Y’all want to hear a funny story?” she asked the crowd. “This is kind of embarrassing, but I was laughing and I want you guys to laugh too, so I’m willing to embarrass myself.”
“The last act, the zipper on the back of the little thing I was wearing [ripped],” she said. “So that’s why I was laughing and running into people and could not turn around. I’m really sorry you guys had to stare at my booty for like two songs.”
Underwood further reacted to the situation in a post-show Instagram post.
“Last night was epic…wardrobe malfunctions and all!” she wrote. “Nothing like being stuck out on stage with your booty on display! That’s what makes a live show fun…the unpredictability!”
“One thing I CAN always predict, though, is how awesome the crowd is going to be!” Underwood added. “Thanks for bringing it, #Vegas ! Let’s do it one final time tonight!”

“And that’s a wrap for me and my crew at @resortsworldlv. #Reflection has been such an incredible experience!” she wrote. “Thanks to each and every one of you who came to see it and thanks to all the band/crew/performers who made it so spectacular! This show will always have a special place in my heart! On to the next chapter!”
