NITV Radio caught up with hip-hop artist Dizzy Doolan, curator and MC of the First Nations Women’s Showcase, one of the highlights of the the upcoming 2023 Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA).
The two-day conference, awards ceremony and concert program in Meanjin/Brisbane on 26-27 September will bring together some of the industry’s top female practitioners, First Nations and multi-cultural artists, leaders, and diverse emerging talents.
The inaugural AWMA debuted in October 2018 in response to the chronic gender inequality in the Australian music industry as a platform to share ideas and celebrate the nation’s leading female creatives and professionals as dynamic essential contributors to the future of the industry.
