1. Pronto 100% Pure Acetone, $9.99

This is what you will use to get your previous gel polish off your nails. It’s an 8-ounce bottle for less than $10.

2. Makartt Nail File, $9.99

These nail files are amazing! This comes with 10 files with 100/180 grit emery boards, one on each side. The 100 grit is good for shaping and shortening nails, while the 180 grit side is good for refining edges and smoothing nail surfaces.

3. Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, $3.69

For the best application of gel polish, you will want to trim your cuticles so the surface is perfectly clean and ready. This Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover is cheap and does the job of softening your cuticles and priming them for trimming.

4. Cuticle Trimmer with Cuticle Pusher and Cutter, $5.99

This set comes with three tools you will want: a cuticle pusher and cutter and nail polish scrapper. The polish scrapper will help you remove polish after you soak your nails in acetone, and the cuticle tools will be used to clean up the edges of your nails.

5. Mini Nail Buffer Blocks, $5.99

Once you clean up and shape your nails, you want to buff them! This pack of buffers comes with 50 small buffers with 100/180 grit on either side. The 180 grit is best for natural nails that will lessen scratching or damaging them.

6. Vishine 15ml No Wipe Top Coat Base Coat, $8.99

Now, we paint! You will want to buy a foundation and top coat duo for your kit. The foundation goes on before you use the colored gel polish and the top coat goes on after.

Tip: Always make sure you are curing your nails after every coat for at least 60-90 seconds or longer, depending on what UV machine you buy. Read the directions, and always cure long enough for the polish to dry completely. Make sure to not get any polish on your skin, as well. Take your time painting and clean up the edges before you cure!

7. UV LED Nail Lamp, $25.99

Of course, you need something to cure the polish. This UV LED Nail Lamp does the trick! Make sure you are buying a lamp that fits your needs and always read the description before purchasing.

8. DND Gel Polish Set, $17

This polish is a fan favorite and has hundreds of color options! Apply at least two coats of your preferred color for best results.

9. Artdone White Pearl Chrome Nail Powder, $5.98

Chrome nails will always be that girl. If you want to add a little more sparkle to your nails without doing any actual nail art, this chrome powder will do just that to any color. Just apply after your second coat of polish.

10. Portable Nail Polish Organizer Bag, $25.99

Now that you have all of this stuff, where do you put it? This organization bag, of course! It’s chic and aesthetic and has a space for all your products — including the UV lamp and up to 30 bottles of polish.

Happy DIY nails!
