The public mocking of Drake seemingly continues, as Fashion Nova unveils a “BBL Booty” costume that’s an apparent nod to Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” diss.
The costume consists of a butt pad to enhance one’s rear end, with the model rocking an outfit that replicates Drake’s look in the “8AM In Charlotte” music video—complete with the colorful hair clips and a hoodie with “Papi” sprawled across the front.
Fans couldn’t help but to revel in the mockery. “The things they put this poor model through,” one user tweeted.
Another commented, “Lol and this is exactly why I say being famous would drive me insane.” Someone else felt the Canadian rapper should issue a cease-and-desist in the same vein of the OMG Girlz’s recent legal win. “Do them like T.I. and Tiny did LOL dolls I bet they take that s**t down quick…,” they wrote.
Young Metro released the “BBL Drizzy” instrumental in response to Drake amid his beef with Kendrick Lamar. He dropped it exclusively on SoundCloud and challenged fans to freestyle over it, offering the winner a free beat from him with the added bonus of a $10,000 cash prize.
Drake then name-dropped Metro on “Push Ups,” rapping, “Metro, shut your h** a** up and make some drums, n**ga.”
Of the mention, Metro responded via Twitter: “The drum thing was laughable, so I let it slide, but what we not gon’ do is spread lies and have my loved ones involved.”
In an effort to capitalize on the “BBL Drizzy” viral momentum, Drake himself sampled the record on his “U My Everything” collaboration with Sexyy Red.
He has not yet reacted to the newly-inspired Halloween costume.
