For someone who’s as busy living the pop star life as Dua Lipa, traveling in style is a must. So, it makes sense why she would go about her daily routine with one of the most coveted designer bags on the market on her arm.
In a Dec. 4 episode of Vogue’s “What’s in my Bag” series, the “Levitating” singer, 29, spilled the contents of her Hermès bag which, as previously reported by Marie Claire, appears to be the Birkin 35 specifically.
While she’s been spotted carrying the purse with many of her street style outfits on multiple occasions, we got to see a closer look at the matte black bag, which can resales for several grand.
A similar version to Lipa’s accessory is currently reselling on Fashionphile, a company that buys and sells authentic luxury handbags, for a little over $12,000, with other designs ranging from $9,000 to $34,000. Other Birkins can go for more than $65,000 on the website.

Lipa also shared details on the sentimental items she glamorizes her Birkin with, including the charms she’s collected during her travels and a gifted Hermès Les Murmures de la Foret scarf, which also has a price tag of a few hundred bucks on various resale platforms.
Despite the expensive exterior of Lipa’s favorite bag, it holds a plethora of surprisingly conventional — and relatable — items, like the hot pink rubber duck and $2 bill she totes around for good luck, (several pairs of) wired headphones, Augustinus Bader eye patches and her current reads.
Birkin bags, inspired by the late Jane Birkin and created by then-Hermès chairman Jean-Louis Dumas in 1984, can be found in the closets of A-listers from the Kardashians (Kim once caused a frenzy online for casually placing her $50K+ handbag on the floor) to Cardi B who, earlier this year, showed off her six-figure collection.
The designer item is so well-known that its “It”-girl status is depicted in film.
In the movie adaption of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, It Ends with Us, a bold orange Birkin appears on the arm of Jenny Slate’s Allyssa, who happens to be married to a millionaire.
Costume designer Eric Daman told PEOPLE ahead of the film’s release in August that he wanted a “punchy” Birkin to translate Allysa’s financial standing.
