Celebrity nail artist Kimmie Kyees was behind the manicure, which featured a sheer base and tip.
From fun, festive shades like winter cranberry to trendy nail art like the micro French tip, Eva Longoria always has a good manicure to show off.
Still, we’re partial to this particular set. You see, celebrity artist Kimmie Kyees made it happen for the cover of Byrdie’s Summer Issue, which launched Tuesday, May 13. There’s also the fact that it combines so many of our favorite warm weather nail trends.

Ahead, get all the details on the design and, should you find yourself near ans oceanic backdrop of your own, some inspiration to help you recreate it yourself.
Eva Longoria’s Creamy Ballerina French Manicure
A milky shade, a fun shape, and the perfect French tips—Longoria’s nails seriously have it all going on. To get the look, Kyees started with a medium-length ballerina shape that was slightly rounded.
Then, she painted on a cloudy, sheer white base shade before finishing up the tips with a more opaque polish. The difference wasn’t major, but it was enough to qualify these as full-on Frenchies.
It’s a look that’s simple enough to work for your everyday needs, but funky enough to feel photoshoot-worthy. And if you’re not yet brave enough to go full ballerina, it would look just as pretty filed down your way.
Eva Longoria’s Byrdie Photoshoot
Longoria kept the manicure for the entirety of her Sophie Chan Andreassend-shot campaign. The photoshoot saw her through multiple outfits and hairstyles—a chic updo, beach waves, and long braid included—as well as a number of seaside-inspired sets.

A mermaid might be more likely to go for a pearly French (Longoria has done that, too), but I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to convince them of a milk bath manicure after showing off this set. I’ll be posing on the nearest ocean rock with my pressies if you need me.
