Summer 2025 Nail Trends for Festival Season

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that the manicures we’ll see at festivals like Coachella will be gorgeous!

Festival nails are always bold, colorful and full of the festival vibe,” says celebrity manicurist and CND education ambassador Vanessa McCullough. “Festival nails scream FUN! You will continue to see bold colors and patterns. There is nothing subtle about a festival nail look, and that will not be changing, but this year you can expect to see more 3D art, chromes and cat-eye looks.”

McCullough, who counts stars like Cindy Crawford and Lupita Nyong’o among her clients, foresees this festival season’s nail trends to focus on big, bold color.

“Bold pinks like CND Tutti Frutti ($10), strong shimmery yellows and luscious oranges like CND B-Day Candle ($10) will all make their mark on festival nails this year,” McCullough says. “These colors are happy and bring a psychedelic feel. They stand out and make a statement, which is exactly what festival goers want.”

What’s hot in summer 2025 nail trends?

And with summer right around the corner, manicurists are ready to welcome the new 2025 nail trends.

Chrome has been a long-standing favorite for some time. However, for spring and summer 2025, we will see a transformation from solid chrome to textured accents,” says celebrity manicurist and KISS Nails & imPRESS Beauty brand ambassador Gina Edwards. “Small details in chrome over a semi sheer nail is ideal especially for the minimalist. Think of an added element over ‘soap’ nails. KISS Gel Fantasy Allure ($12) and Nail Drip ($15) collections offer a variety of chrome detailing for the season ahead.”

According to celebrity manicurist and founder of Labo Beauté Salon, Lily Nguyen, the spring season’s micro floral look is a major trend. “Floral-inspired shades and prints are trending for nails right now,” she says. “The micro floral look feels soft, romantic and vintage-inspired—so perfect for warmer weather.”

Strawberry milk nails, a soft pillow shade of a pink pastel sheered to a muted tone, will also be a major manicure trend,” Edwards adds. “The results are freshly highlighted nail beds, and it gives a very feminine look.”

As these soft pastel shades increase in popularity, we’re also seeing an influx of gradient and blended looks.

“Another one of my favorites this season is watercolor pastels,” Nguyen says. “Instead of flat pastels, we’re seeing dreamy, blended tones, like soft lilac melting into peach or mint into baby blue. It gives your nails a romantic, ethereal vibe.”
