No surprises, we love a beautifully decorated mani at GLAMOUR and we know we can count on Kylie Jenner to serve up some truly phwoarrr inspo. After all, she has access to a Little Black Book of hair stylists, makeup artists and (yep) manicurists that we’d think about selling our lil sister for.
Previously, she’s given us water droplet neons, chrome tips, two-tone yin-yang nails, glazed pinks, classic reds and pearl-scattered Frenchies but one mani we didn’t have on her bingo card was, um, worms?
Posting to her Instagram Stories on 2nd July, Kylie shared her latest nail art with followers. From first look, we thought she simple had lemon Frenchies, but a close-up of her thumb shows her sporting what appears to be a shield bug. The next slide sees her turn her hand over to give us a guided tour of the garden critters crawling across her nails. On her index finger is a ladybug, her middle finger hosts a snail, her ring finger is home to a worm and her little finger features a purple butterfly. “The worm is my favourite,” the beauty mogul captioned the post.
In the next slide, she showed a caterpillar on her thumb, a blue butterfly on her index finger, a teeny ant on her middle finger, another snail on her ring finger and a bumble bee on her pinky.
In fairness, we predicted manis would be taking a more natural and organic approach this summer, with fruit nails emerging as one of the headlining trends. And Kylie’s friend, Hailey Bieber, posted a “farmer’s market” inspired mani over the weekend, with little strawbs, blueberries, pea pods, cherries, carrots, lemons and tomatoes. However, actual insects is a curveball we didn’t see coming, but we’re as surprised as you are that Kylie Jenner has 100% sold us on it. That little snail? He’s coming home with us on our next mani.
