What was initially a senior capstone project turned into a group of current and former students founding a company that hosts dance parties for a charitable cause. This time, a portion of the proceeds will be donated toward the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Central Florida Chapter.*
“Last time we did it, it was technically for a school project for part of our classes and, based on the success of the last one, we decided we wanted to try to do another one,” Heather Klimowski, marketing director and co-founder of Baddie Bash Presents, said over a phone call.
The event will feature all-women vendors and DJs, including Baddie Bash Presents’ team coordinator Raea Eyre. “Baddie Bash” will also highlight specialty cocktails at a bar.
“We do want to have more summer vibes for this one,” Klimowski said.
The group behind Baddie Bash plans on doing bigger events in the future at Celine, aiming toward opening both floors to guests.
“I’m immediately doing what I’ve always been wanting to do, so it’s really fun,” Eyre said over a phone call. “I didn’t have that awkward postgrad of not sure where I want to go. I’m living the dream, basically.”
Baddie Bash Presents will host an all-women party supporting suicide prevention July 25 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Celine Orlando.
