Maybe you’re a proud Disney adult or just love the tang of nostalgia you feel when you watch a childhood classic on Disney+. Whichever it may be, if you’re planning to pay homage to Disney during your next salon visit, you’ve come to the right place.
Disney nails have always been popular and they always will be, but in the last month, searches for “Disney themed nails” have skyrocketed, with Minnie, Tinkerbell and an array of Disney princesses becoming the inspiration for nail sets this season, according to beauty and wellness marketplace Fresha.
Eva Benjamin, a nail technician from EJB Nails shared her insight as to why the trend has exploded this year, explaining that creativity is the main thing people are looking for from their nail designs and have found that from Disney themes. “The fun part of this trend is the option to layer the Disney theme with Halloween, such as little Disney ghosts, pumpkin Mickey Mouses or Ghost with Mickey style ears. I’ve also seen softer, more subtle designs that lend themselves to the trend but don’t include the character on the nails, such as a lilac coat with flowers to symbolise Rapunzel,” she says.

Benjamin adds: “With new Disney films on the horizon such as Moana 2 or Snow White, I think this trend will carry into 2025 because they’re really flattering and flexible designs that can look good on any type of customer.”
