Bengaluru: Former city mayor R Narayanaswamy filed a police complaint, accusing his security guard of stealing ornaments and cash worth over Rs 1.2 crore from his RMV II Stage residence on April 18. The 29 listed stolen materials include Rs 4 lakh in cash, diamond/gold ornaments, silver articles and three wristwatches worth Rs 6.5 lakh.
Swamy said he suspects his security guard Narabahadur Sahi of stealing them.“On April 18, my wife Kasturi Bai and son Yashas had gone to a temple in Tamil Nadu. I was busy campaigning for elections. On returning home at night, I found the backdoor ajar and Sahi missing. His mobile phone was switched off,” his complaint to Sanjaynagar police read. TNN
