Here are 7 signs a man doesn’t want to date you

He’s just not that into you.

A New York City dating expert is warning women everywhere of the seven clear signs — and one brutal code word — that will tell you a man is uninterested in a serious relationship.

Sarah Lauren dished the tough-to-take deets in a series of viral TikTok videos, in a bid to save hopeful ladies from heartache at the hands of a love rat.

“Here are the things guys do when they don’t like you, and by don’t like you I mean not trying to pursue you to be more than a fling, a hookup, or a situationship,” the guru declared in the first video in the series, which have collectively clocked up more than 24 million views.

Women poured into the comment sections, sharing how they’d experienced some of the signs firsthand, but didn’t realize what was happening until later.

“I was in a two-month situationship and I only regret that I didn’t leave earlier,” one female forlornly stated.

Others found the videos so disheartening, they claim to have given up on romance altogether.

“This is why I’ve given up on dating… It’s too complicated and messy these days,” said one dedicated singleton.

But for those who still dare to dream of finding a forever companion, here’s a breakdown of Coach Lauren’s seven deadly si(g)ns — each one, she says, should be taken as a warning that you’re likely pursuing the wrong person.

He only texts at night or on the weekends

Lauren says a man who is only interested in a fling or a hook-up will wait until he’s bored to begin blowing up your phone.

“The weekend — that’s their fun time and the time they don’t have much going on,” she explained. “They could be looking for some fun, a little weekend plan, a little weekend fling [so they’ll text you].”

The dating guru was even more blunt when it came to why a man was only texting in the evening.

“It’s a booty call,” she declared in a deadpan manner. “And girls, don’t answer the booty call.”

He says he’s a bad texter

Lauren says if a man is interested in dating you seriously, he will quickly and frequently respond to your messages, even if he’s not usually glued to his phone.

Simply put, the expert doesn’t buy the claim that a guy is “bad at texting.”

“Any guy will find time to text you if they want to pursue you,” she declared. “And if they don’t, they will call you.”

You only see his bedroom

Just because a man is having sex with you, doesn’t necessarily mean he wants anything more, Lauren says.

“If all you see is his bedroom, that is the only place in his life he wants you to see,” she sassily stated.

A man who wants romance will actively organize date nights outside of his home and will introduce you to his friends, the expert asserted.

He’s not touchy

While this sign seemingly contradicts the one outlined above, Lauren says it all comes down to gentle affection — particularly in public spaces.

If your potential paramour isn’t “going in for a hug, touching your leg or holding your hand,” then he likely doesn’t have strong emotional feelings for you.

He doesn’t share good news with you

If you’re not finding out firsthand about your man’s exciting life events, Lauren believes that he likely doesn’t see you as a long-term partner he wants to build a future with.

So, be wary if you’re learning about his work promotions or his travel plans via Instagram or through his friends.

He doesn’t like your social media posts

On a related note, Lauren says social media activity can indicate how a man really feels about you.

If the dude you’re dating is interested in you, she believes he’ll constantly be checking your Instagram feed to see if you’ve posted new content.

He should immediately be liking, commenting, DM’ing and sending “a fire emoji” response to your photos.

He seems to get annoyed by you

“If you see that he’s getting frustrated by you a little too often, chances are he is just annoyed by you and he’s annoyed by your presence and he will never like you,” Lauren harshly stated, offering up her tough love tip.

“If they want to be with a girl, [seriously] they have to be with someone they can get along with because guys get frustrated very easily and if you’re frustrating him and that’s just your personality, he’s just not that into you,” she further asserted.

And here’s the deadly codeword to listen out for

According to Lauren, the worst word a dating woman can hear isn’t “no” — it’s “busy.”

“If they use this codeword, they don’t care about you that much,” the TikTokker professed.

“If they say that they are ‘busy,’ they aren’t trying, they don’t even want to try,” she further explained. “They just aren’t that into you and they’re just ‘busy’ so that they can avoid anything to do with you.”
