I work at Sephora, my ‘Dark Circles 101’ uses concealers that won’t go on creasy

A SEPHORA employee has revealed the secret to hiding dark circles without any creasing. 

She recommended a selection of concealers while sharing makeup tips for how to apply them like an expert.

Katie (@kattvillla) has garnered over 542,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty hacks.

“How to Hide Your Dark Circles 101,” read the text over a must-watch video.

She stood inside the Sephora store where she works as she shared the best products to use.

“If y’all want to hide your dark circles but don’t know what to do babe, come here,” she said.

“First you got to get yourself a nice little color corrector.

“I like the Charlotte Tilbury ones and the Huda Beauty ones.

“These are so good and they’ve got shades for all the girlies babe, yep.”

Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Vanish Color Corrector is sold in four different shades at Sephora, where it costs $32.

Huda Beauty’s #FAUXFILTER Under Eye Color Corrector is available at Sephora in seven different shades for $30.

Katie shared the next step in her makeup routine for hiding dark circles.

“I’m going to show you all the bomb full coverage concealers that don’t make your eyes super creasy,” she said.

“They don’t feel too heavy. Girl, write this down in your notes.

“Starting off with Miss Huda Beauty. If you’re more on the oily side babe and you really want that coverage, that matt finish, she is your girl.

“You’re going to love her. Trust me she is full coverage.

“Y’all know I am a die-hard fan of the Kulfi concealers.

“I say this is the mom concealer because it covers my undereyes even without the color corrector.

“If you just want a one and go, here’s your one and go.

“You won’t be disappointed it’s super radiant and hydrating under the eye.

“For a girl that has dermatitis, this works amazing.

“Now, Miss Tower 28, she very much surprised me.

“I didn’t think she was going to have the coverage because she’s more of a natural girly.

“But no, she hides the undereye.

“She’s a little bit more on the serum side but has all the coverage. It’s a very confusing formula but it works.

“It is super hydrating underneath the eyes, it’s good for eczema skin so if you’ve got it like that try it.”

The beauty guru shared a tip for finishing undereye makeup.

“I personally always suggest putting a good powder under your eyes to get that to sink in and not move throughout the day,” she said.

“But hey, to each their own girl.”

“I like to let my concealer sit for a minute before I blend it out to build up the coverage too.”

Almost 34,000 viewers liked the video and many people took to the comment section grateful for the product recommendations.

According to Healthline, there are several reasons why dark circles may appear including fatigue, aging, genetics, allergies, and sun exposure.

They are usually not a cause for concern but it may be worth speaking to a doctor if you notice any swelling or worsening discoloration.
